Apply for TLF Funding Support
The Ted Lindsay Foundation is proud to support organizations that are making a direct and meaningful impact in the autism community. Through our funding request process, we provide resources to programs that improve the lives of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families. Please review the guidelines below before completing the application form and uploading your organization’s 990. These requirements ensure that all funding requests align with our mission and that every gift awarded creates measurable impact for the autism community.
Guidelines:
-
Preference will be given to organizations that are registered non-profit in the state of Michigan. Out of state non-profits and/or for-profit organizations may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
-
The stated purpose of the organization (or the program requesting support within the larger organization) must relate directly to the autism community
-
Gifts must directly benefit individuals with ASD and/or their families (e.g., scholarships, specific program supplies or expenses, etc.). The TLF does not provide funding or support for operational costs of programs, such as salaries, rent, utilities, etc.
-
The amount and use of gift must be clearly detailed in the request (e.g., we are seeking $5,000 to provide five (5) $1,000 scholarships for teenagers with ASD to attend our summer social camp; we are seeking $7,070 to purchase 10 GPS trackers for families to use for their autistic children, etc.)
-
The organization must provide sufficient detail in application to ensure the funds required are accurate to the stated need
-
The organization must agree to promote and credit the TLF funding award in their communications (e.g., social media platforms, e-mail, newsletters, media appearances, etc.)
-
Impact reports must be filed within six (6) months of the conclusion of the award payment clarifying the use of the funds and the outcomes improving the lives of those in the autism community. Guidelines will be supplied for impact reports if organizations do not already have their own reporting format.
