I'm a parent and my child was recently diagnosed with ASD. What resources can you provide me with?
While we are not a dedicated resource center for children diagnosed with autism, we are committed to helping families connect with trusted professionals and programs. We recommend reaching out to Corewell Health Center or the Joanne & Ted Lindsay Foundation Autism Center at OU Cares, both of which provide valuable support and services for individuals with autism.
Do you provide any financial assistance with medical costs for a child with ASD?
While we do not offer direct financial aid for medical expenses, our organization is dedicated to funding programs and services that benefit individuals with autism and their families. We work closely with local community programs to provide access to therapy, educational support, and other essential resources.

Do you offer grants or scholarships for autistic children to attend therapies or purchase equipment needed?
We do not provide direct grants or scholarships for therapy or equipment. However, we have facilitated funding through the Ted Lindsay Foundation (TLF) and continue to support programs that benefit individuals with autism. Scholarships may be available through Joanne & Ted Lindsay Foundation Autism Center at OU Cares, where we provide funding to help students enroll in employment readiness classes and other valuable programs. We encourage families to check with these centers for specific opportunities.
What is the Ted Lindsay Foundation mission statement?
By strategically supporting educational, community, and research programs, we promote inclusion, acceptance, and advocacy across all aspects of daily life. We strive to enhance the quality of life for individuals with autism and their families.
Our core values shape who we are — they guide our decisions, reflect our purpose and help build a culture of trust, compassion and credibility. These values not only inspire our team and attract dedicated partners and supporters, but they also ensure consistency and focus as we grow.
As we plan for the future, these values will remain at the heart of everything we do, driving meaningful, lasting change for the autism community.
